Experience with CBSA

I ordered some gear from Revzilla (less than $200 value) in early March. The package was sent on March 3th and its been sitting with Canada Border Services Agency for 3 full weeks. Considering that Canada Post can't contact them directly does anyone knows how to check the status of the shipment with CBSA? Any suggestions?

Have you tried contacting Revzilla? Maybe they can find out something being the sender. I would at least complain as that is way to long, even with a border crossing.

I spoke with Revzilla rep and he told me they can't do much 'cause this puppy is sitting with Canada border agency ... not even USPS can open the ticket.

Depends on what you ordered, it may be with a commodity specialist to make sure the value is correct and no deflated. You should get some communication from them either way, it doesn't just disappear.

For my shipments that come by Air I usually do the brokerage myself at their head office which is off of Britannia Road by the airport. They are close to the Air Canada Cargo building. I would suggest you should head over there and see why they are holding. Impossible to get them on the phone. Government jobs. lol.

That location is only for air cargo or LVS CourierShipments, they won’t be able to help with a postal shipment. Different operations, different locations entirely. You can only do a self clearance there once you have your waybills/invoices/etc. Trust me on this one.

Thanks ... I think I got to kiss this one goodbye.

Have the shipper put in a claim...3 weeks might indicate that the package is either AWOL or was damaged somehow...either that or they've put some sort of hold on it because they suspect contraband or legality issues.

Having Revzilla put in a non-delivery or lost claim will get some answers, or push things along. Don't take "We can't do anything" for an answer. If they still refuse to help and in another few days you don't have an answer put through a chargeback on the credit card you used for the purchase and at least get your money back.

I've got an update today from Canada Post. After 3 1/2 weeks the package that contains one pair of gloves and one backpack was refused (no reason given) by CBSA and it's on its way back to US. Based on my request, a service claim was filed by Revzilla three days ago but that had no effect whatsoever. I gotta say ... it blows! On the other hand Revzilla doesn't want to refund my purchase 'cause "the shipment hasn't been delivered back to them yet"??! WTF? I guess I'm caught up in Revzilla, CBSA, USPS and canada post BS so next time I might look for another currier option while shopping there. Their customer service rep told me they can manually process Canadian orders and ship via UPS because with online checkout, USPS/Canada Post remains as the only shipping option.

Ship it to cbi. Ride down. Pick them up. Wear them. Come back. Pay not duty. Just say you went riding on the twisties or something

I have just purchased some gloves from sport bike track gear, I ordered on Easter Sunday, they arrived at my house just around 1pm on Tuesday. They used DHL and my god it was lightening quick. I did have to pay duties and tax, but it was still cheaper than ordering from here through a vendor, even with the $ where it is.. I tried ordering from Revzilla but was told the items I wanted do not ship to Canada (it was a replacement seat for my bike).. Its funny I have tried ordering at least 5 items from Revzilla where I was told that the item won't ship to Canada.. Sportbiketrackgear has pretty much the same stuff with the same prices but I have never had issues with them shipping me stuff..

Okay, that's weird.

If it were me, I would much rather try again with USPS than with UPS. If you HAVE to use UPS, spring for something other than standard shipping
