Dyna beads, self balancing beads.

I use them in a Suzuki Burgman scooter front wheel. No damage and can be salvaged to use in future re-tiring. They are ceramic little buggers. 1 oz is all I used. No scolloping and smooth running.

I've heard mixed reports. Seems like the touring / casual riders swear by them, the sport riders swear at them. IMO balance the wheel properly, that always works.

I've run Airsoft BB pellets, Slime, wheel weights and nothing at all with equal success on various tires/bikes. The one issue I did have with a front tire was resistant to all three methods, so I don't know what to think, except that physics is involved somehow. Stick with manufacturer's recommendations and call it a day, I guess.

I had my FZ8's OE tires changed for Pirelli Angel GTs earlier this season and the dealer used these beads instead of traditional lead weights. The bike was reasonably smooth up to 110kph but had a definite shake above that. At 130 it was getting spooky.

I had the tires removed, the beads vacuumed out and rebalanced the old way and they're smooth as silk now.

YMMV.

I have these in my 2000 right now. They work as advertised.

Ride on tire sealant works better and also handles punctures. Stable on bikes over z rating, self balancing. Stable at any speed to top speed, no vibration at any rpm/speed.

I have used it in my bike for 3 years already. Kahuna used to sell the stuff.

Try that with dyna beads, lol As long as the bike is moving the sealant keeps the tire inflated to get home.

Have been trying to buy online. For the last 4 months, or so, says sold out. Are they still in business?
Nobody local stocks this?

This, I do not understand the need of using beads? Balance the damn tire

Order online, they will send it up to you. Or buy it on Amazon, I always buy a few extra as the stuff can sit in the bottle for years. A little tip if you get some, heat up the solution in hot water before trying to squeeze it into the valve stem.

Tried them once on the front (i don't balance the rear tire, waste of time) of a street bike of mine. After 2 seasons i changed the tire and found too much rubber debris inside the tire for my liking.Never found it in there with conventional weights.Garbage they went.Weights are simpler if you know what you are doing.

Never had a problem with them. They seem to work as advertised with the benefit that the balancing adapts as the tire ages/wears unlike weights. My tire guy (an experienced mechanic) did say that he has had one or two bikes in with tires that didn't work that well with the beads for some reason. He balanced those with weights and all was well again. I've had them on my past couple of bikes and won't go back to weights.

Thanks a lot.
Perhaps I will be better off trying to go with Amazon. Called them a few months ago and their customer service was like they where doing me a favour.

Ride on I bought some at RD
Dyna beads I have used them and on a cruiser where speeds don't get up that high it's ok on a much quicker bike I didn't like the shake at speed.
Just balance the tire.

If you use that stuff make DAMN sure you tell the person who changes your tires after you use it!!! A lot of them WON'T change your tires if you tell them you have that stuff in it.

I agree that it does balance your tires really well and also protects against punctures near the middle of the tread. I wouldn't recommend it for people going over 200km/h.

This is what I've used in the past with great results: http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/autom...ves-sealants/slime-tire-sealant-0095068p.html

False on the tire change as the stuff stays in the center of the tire when changed.

False on the speed as well as I have used the hayabusa up to more than 300 km/h( for charity purposes, not on street) with ZERO issues!

( only 10% of the fluid is actually in motion for balancing purposes according to manufacturer.)

Product also makes the tire last longer as the bead runs cooler.
