What is required as for gear? I have a road racing suit/glove, helmets, and Daytona boots....I know most guys run MX boots and helmets, is that more because they come from MX riding backround or are the MX boots really much better for SM?

Is there a website for reg and prices and all that?
 
Wear MX boots,

This kind of riding will destroy your daytonas.

an MX boot offers better protection as well.

your roadrace suit etc will be fine though.

The MX helmet will help with breathing too.

What he said.

I brought both helmets ... my full face and old MX one with skiing goggles. I was cooking wearing the MX one (and it was no hot day as you know), cannot imagine using the full face. I have used road boots and the soles have paid a price ... :-) but I am going to replace them next year anyways. I just didn't want to plunge few hundreds into something I didn't know how it will turn out ....
