Listowel is asking people 55 and up to receive the shot

This is apparently the summary of Douggies plan this time. Interesting that golf courses finally got included in the pain (although not really as most don't open until May 1 anyway).

EDIT:
Nevermind. Gov't didn't proofread their own documents. They now say golf courses and driving ranges are open. Obviously they got an angry phone call from the elite.

Here is a link to the official gov't site if you are interested in something specific.

Nope. The total opposite. Both NZ and Australia have been left short on vaccines and are behind. However, because of the way their population bought into the crisis, behaved themselves and followed simple rules during an international crisis, they are still ahead and mostly back to normal with severe travel restrictions in place and localized lockdowns if necessary.
Here is some info on how they managed the covid

Lockdown on the weekend and no new cases on Monday

At this point, maybe that’s what it’s going to take. A hard lockdown and hold till the numbers drop.

28days of closure to certain businesses is not a lockdown, it’s a slap in the face when places like golf is allowed to run.

That only works if you have substantial compliance.
And that's exactly what Australia and NZ had.
Sure, they have their own share of nutters, but it's nothing like her in NA. Talked to an acquaintance in Australia about the lockdowns - they admitted that there are the wild complainers, but, they tended to get smashed with the "ban hammer" very quickly.

May as well shut up JC100...
There are enough people on the right side of the political spectrum that will never accept the fact that the virus is real, and that a couple of weeks of inconvenience are for the greater good... bashing them with honest, truthful facts doesn't work, as they don't believe anything that doesn't come from similarly slanted viewpoints (i.e. anti-vaxxers arguing with virologists and immunologists because what they saw on Facebook from a group they're in can't possibly be wrong).

We were having conversation, and then this. Why?

Another part of their success is really quick contact tracing and when someone is diagnosed as positive they are sent to a hospital covid ward to quarantine. No chance for covid+ Adam to go down the street and grab a quick burger while noone is watching.

Brisbane just had a 4 day lockdown after a couple doctors spread it to 20 people. The infected were tracked down across 3 other cities and all rounded up and put in covid wards within 2 days. City goes back to normal with just an indoor mask mandate for the next 2 weeks. They also locked the nursing/aged care homes for the next 2 weeks as a precaution to protect the most vulnerable.

They don't mess around down there, even though their vaccine rollout is slow, they have procedures in place to keep the virus at bay until vaccine is in enough people.
