Dorset scenic tower?

I know it closed at the start of the pandemic and it was closed yesterday.
Did it ever open back up? Is there any plans to open back up?

Closed for the year, last I heard it might be indefinitely.
The tower itself is in need of repairs and unsafe.

That too bad. It has been a staple stop on my tours for 25years.

So many things remain closed "due to covid" even though it doesn't make much sense anymore when compared to other current day realities.

I think a lot of municipalities have just taken the opportunity to shirk the expenses of maintenance and just leave stuff closed.

Never seen it open once this year, been by there a few times. Not sure why they can't open the park and leave the tower itself closed. The view is still nice at the base.

I think pp is correct. Lots of places are using covid as an excuse to modify operations. It's a hard argument to fight against (for now).
