Don’t bother with FOTC today…

They can back up into Woodland Ct, but if there are cars behind, it can be problematic.

Would make more sense to have the sign back at The Grange, where they could simply turn right/left to avoid.

Had a transport truck run me into the ditch on the back of the dragon.
I have no idea how he got out as he was well in and it was 50 km of twisties.

Turning around in the cemetery is probably possible but I'm sure the cemetery won't love that idea and the truck will be blocking the entire road at times.

Headed west, the sign wouldn't be positioned terribly but the wording sucks and the wankers made the only possible escape route a prohibited truck road. "Turn around now" is impossible. It should be "All trucks must turn left on Mclaughlin Road 100m ahead." The morons in charge set a trap with no escape and then blame the truckers.

It is still possible for a large vehicle to turn left at Bush St in Belfountain after that sign, though that's legally problematic because of this:

I'm not sure why there's a no-trucks sign for Bush St ... I smell NIMBY/politics.

It is legal, though a bad idea, for a heavy vehicle to take Mississauga Road north where it splits from FOTC, and the signage at that junction reflects that ... but that no-trucks sign on FOTC is easy to miss.

In a more sensible world there would be signage in symbols (not words) on Mississauga Road approaching Bush St prohibiting truck traffic from going straight and requiring it to turn left on Bush St ... eff the local NIMBY residents at that point. Actual truck traffic that needs to go that general direction should have taken Olde Base Line and Winston Churchill or Highway 10.

The building on the corner was owned by Garth Turner for many years.Might have had something to do with it.
