I had the bike in for service,get my work done and head home only to find my spedo not working,I find the cable hanging loose,I have a bad feeling about this is it dealer caused or just a fluke?

just screw it back in.
I note that in my old bike, riding at speeds above 160 would cause that cable to vibrate loose after a few minutes.

you got it right,I screwed it back in and 10 min on the 401 it was off again,hopefully some loc-tight will be the answer.

only issue would be if they considered it murder.... things that make you go hmmm.....
