The cords are close... i think you can even see one.

I'd run them until the cords touch all the way around, but that's just me.

LOL... Honestly man, that's such a retarded statement that it's both funny and sad.
I know I know, you went 500 km/h and had a passenger on tires that had the cords touching all around.
Please, for the love of God... Don't make babies!
if you want to risk your life, that's your business. Please don't make recommendations that might endanger someone's life...

OP, out of curiosity, how many Km's did you put on those tires?

The possibiity of tire failure is extremely high at that point, handling reduced.

I'm surprised that someone who's been riding for a while would do an undeducated thing like that toysareforboys.

Such a tire should be replaced ASAP, zero riding.

On a sidenote - it's sad that you see people trying to sell rubber like that on kijiji. I pity the noobs who fall for that.
Same with old tires - I've seen a set of 15 year old tires that a guy was selling for a "great" price of 100 bucks for both.

I say it's got 100,000 left on it.
50,000 on the left side. 50,000 on the right.

If you let it go longer it will look like pretty rim tape going down the center. B****** love rim tape.

Why is it always the folks who only ride in a straight line who wear out tires? I usually end up changing tires dues to age before I wear them out and I commute, and tour.

I knew this thread would be entertaining. Thank-you RockerGuy:)
