Dead battery / 6A or 2A charge?

I'm in a bit of a rush... my car is down & as luck would have it, my battery in my bike is dead. The charger I bought says use 6A for large batteries & 2A for small... will I damage my motorcycle battery using 6A (as long as I don't overcharge it)

Thanks

2 A is all you need for a few hours if your battery is completely drained.

If you dont have an intelligent charger ( one that wont shut off or go to a float mode) i would watch your battery carefully.

The label on my still-in-the-box motorcycle battery has two charging methods on it:
Quick charge: 10 amps x 30 minutes
Std charge: 1 amp x 5 to 10 hours

I'm sure you'll be fine at 2 amps for 2 or 3 hours.

Thanks... she's charged & fired up with 3hrs on 2A... hope this issue doesn't lead to another... I'm pretty sure I left the parking lights on.
