Coolest (temperature wise) moto gear?

Hey everyone,

So I'm looking into getting a new mesh suit, seeing as my black on black on black one just isn't cutting it anymore on these 30+ degrees with humidity days sitting in rush hour traffic...

So, I know that white and lighter colours are cooler, but:

Does anyone have any specific models of jackets and pants that you feel are very, very cool? Stuff with beyond excellent ventilation for those super super hot days?

any and all advice welcome (and yes, I plan on eventually buying a VnM suit as well).

Appreciate it!

Well you can't defy the laws of physics - there are some cooling vests that you can use.
I find my silver Joe Rocket mesh does fine on all but the hottest days. Not much you can do in traffic other than those cooling vest.

I'll go squid on the hottest days but that's mostly in the country roads that I know.

i am also looking for a bad *** mesh jacket or something.

my full, unperforated leather suit just isn't doing it anymore

try rs-taichi.

Teknic Aquavent or Supervent. All mesh, CE armor, high-vis colours. The Supervent has a white/grey model as well.

Take a look at Olympia mesh gear. Just back from a 2700 km w/e trip to southern Ohio with 97 degree high temp + humidity. Wore Airglide jacket and pants and survived intact.

Purchased from Tellico in TN. Great prices, about 40% less than local prices here in GTA area. Shipping cost for jacket and pants was just $20 via USPS.

Michael Dozier [tellicomoto@mac.com] is the owner will give you a great deal.

i have the Revit Tornado mesh pants and they are ok, but not as air flowing as advertised or that i had hoped. may be its just the temps lately. or maybe because i bought the black rather than the silver....
air flow aside, they are a great. very comfortable and zipper all the way up the inside of the legs so putting on with boots is not such a hassle.

I wear this:

I use an icon contra jacket on the warm days. It's very well vented.

Can't do much about sitting in traffic though...

The leather or textile version?

BMW Airflow jacket. Not cheap, but excellent venting and protection. Comes in a light colour or a black that has some technology in it to keep it cool to regular black fabric.

ive got a joe rocket silver mesh jacket, then for the really hot days Icon Striker vest.
i know the vest does nothing for arms which is unfortunate. ide love to find a ballistic long sleeve shirt.

Yep, I'll vouch for Olympia, too. The Airglide jacket flows tons of air, but is also good for cold spring and fall days when used with the included liners. Snow City and Oakville Yamaha carry a good selection.
