Converting the CBR250R to VTR250 look?

Hey guys,

So I've ridden the bike a few times and really love it in comparison to my previous bike! However...there's something about a naked look of a bike that I just love (outside of the lack of fairings to be damaged!)

I'm wondering if you guys know if it's difficult to convert a faired bike to a naked bike? Do you know if the VTR250 frame is different? I've seen some pics but haven't taken off the fairings off my bike yet to check underneath...the VTR looks somewhat bigger near the tank but that's just pics.

Also what parts would I need? Any help is highly appreciated! Thanks!

Oh ya...and do you think it would affect the warranty?

Generally when you convert a bike to naked, you need a new headlight with a mounting bracket as well as mirrors.. other than that it should be pretty straight forward

I don't know anything about the vtr frame and the cbr250 frame. But from doing a naked conversion on my FZ6; You will most likely need a headlight, a mount or mounting brackets for the headlight, a speedo bracket, mirrors. It could possibly affect the warranty if you butcher the wiring and screw up your electrical harness.

If you perused a cbr125 forum before buying your 250 or are a member of that forum, Stop being influenced by those idiots. leave your bike alone, in stock condition. You are better served to be vigelent in your maintenance and detailing to ensure you get the most out of your bike.

Thanks guys, and yes I was a member of the 125 forum! How did you know?! LoL

Alot of posers on that forum. The 250 is a great buy compared to others on the market. That forum leans to much towards questionable mods and has turned into a shi$ sho#. I could tell you visited that forum and suffer from idioitus when you started a thread trying to gain info to alter your bike. You have a 250 now, you can steer clear of that clusterfuc# of a forum. My 2 cents use honda oil, use premium from wherever (doesn't need to be shell vpower). I like esso. The difference between regular and premium looks to about 7 cents. This forum has a touring section check that out and enjoy the power, fuel economy, and the reliability this bike will have.
