I'm finding the stuff they use on hockey visors pretty decent for anti-fog.
Today didnt feel that cold. But my visor is fogging like crazy so I am keeping the mouth vent open.
Any tips on having it not fog up?
I was looking at those for boarding. Great idea for riding too. Thanks.
Rode in today and either shouldn't have, or should have taken a different route. My gear kept me warm, but there's a spot at one intersection which has been damp the last few days. I was wondering if maybe there was a small leak in an underground pipe, and meant to call the city to have them look into it. Sure enough, today I came to that intersection and there was water and slush all over. Full stop and crawled around the corner through the slush; I looked at the water control cap in the middle of the road and there was water bubbling out of it. On the outlet I must have touched the throttle or just from looking down I changed the dynamics of the bike and out goes the back end. (I know, I'm mixing my tenses) Down went the bike and I'm sliding on the ice. Luckily there were no cars really close and they came to a stop. Picked the bike up but it's still in gear on the ice and the back end is spinning around like crazy. Noob mistake; hit the kill switch first. Finally wrestle it to the opposite side and wave the cars through. It looks like the only damage is to the shift lever (John, come down and have a look if you have the time). Anyone know where I can get a shift lever for a 1983 CM250C? Rode it the rest of the way; took a little getting used to having to lift my foot rather than just flick my toe.
They should be amazing for winter sports. A down sweater and a down vest layered under a good shell should keep me happy even on coldest days. There is barely any restriction on movement. Make sure if you buy a down sweater that it's 800 fill. It makes quite a difference.
Today was only a little chilly ride from Cambridge to Waterloo then I had to stand outside Future Shop and wait for a Playbook. I had a few comments about being crazy riding a motorcycle in November but I was the only one not cold for that full hour wait outside.![]()
Nice!Keith, when we go to Deal's Gap in May, we'll be the ones with the Playbooks! By then, I'll have written a pretty killer motorcycle app that we can use.
