LOL that's not ironic.

I'm offering advise based on a particularly choosy wine drinker that I am close with. I would never claim to be a connoisseur, but I don't think you have to be in order to offer simple advice on what type of wine to bring to a party. Experience dictates that buying wine based solely on price can be disappointing. Either way, the advice wasn't intended for you, so just ignore it next time.
