Cockpit size of 600cc bikes

I might get a babysitter over the weekend so I can bounce up to TO and check some bikes out.
R6 and zx6r in the lead

Why go all the way to Toronto. Go to Sturgess in Hamilton, they have a nice set of bikes and are very kind people. They don't have Yamaha's though.

Also, if you end up buying a bike for both track and street, then maybe it makes more sense to buy a 1000, don't know..

The R6 is the most uncomfortable bike i have ever been on.

I'm also in the Niagara area. Im 6'3, 235 and I find my 05 r6 quite comfortable. If I can get her back together on Sunday if you want we can meet up on Sunday and you can see how she feels to sit on. If you like it I'd look at an 05 over the r6s, little bit more power, slightly bigger brakes, and better suspension setup, all the same sexy looks :)

More than one R6 = R6's, old style newish R6 = R6S :)

2006-2009 yamaha made both R6S and R6, 2010 and up is only R6. Any year R6S is a 2004 R6 with the fuel pressure regulator from the 05 R6.

06 and up r6 has better everything!
The 05 R6 has radial brakes and inverted forks like the 06 ;)

Black flag for wheelies on a track?????
Yeah, when you're in the noob groups they don't want your front wheel coming even 1" off the track :( For the people in red group they didn't seem to care as much, as long as they weren't clutching up sky wheelies all the way down the front straight.

Hmm...not my impression, wheelies under power are perfectly normal. I think you were black flagged because you carried the wheelie almost the full length of the front straight, I saw you.

I thought it was for the little wheelie from turn 5 to 6 as the marshal there was shaking his head a bit, or it mighta been the slightly longer wheelie from 6 to 7. I was really trying to keep my front down on the front straight, came up like a few inches! Like I said, anything over 1" and you're done.

Lap full of wheelies, what can ya do ;)

On a tmp track day,( not the safe and well organized racer 5 day ) you can wheelie all the way down the straight
Sweeeeeeeet!!

I asked Racer5 and they said that due to other commitments they weren't able to do any track days at TMP this year.

GWB is doing some though, not sure their wheelie policy

So who's running it on May 2nd, and what are their rules?
Guys With Bikes is running TMP on the following days:

May 18,19,20
June 22,23
Aug 3,4,5
Aug 31, Sept 1,2

All other track days listed on TMP's website are run by TMP. Some other private groups (i.e. Red Dawn Entertainment) have track days booked, but they are not on the list at TMP's website.

TMP's website appears to be down at the moment, I believe on the end of their tech sheet they had some rules.

07-08 ZX6R is pretty tall and a wide gas tank, so you'll sit more upright than CBR/R6.

I found the CBR to be sitting almost hunched like a monkey humping a football. The R6 was somewhere in between.

03-05 R6 is comparable to 07-08 ZX6R in seating position.

I'm 6'3 and haven't been 200lbs since the 10th grade lol

My friend who's 6'4" sat on my gsxr and looked like the monkey with the football. The new r6 was the most uncomfortable bike I've ever sat on (r1 was much better) and the new cbr is great other than it's ugly.
