ChapGPT Open AI

I entered my parameters for a travel trailer into AI , wants , don’t wants , it came back with two brands and four models that fit my need’s pretty much bang on. It will have its uses.

Ime, it's good at feelings and bad at facts. If you want something to sound like it was written by a lawyer, accountant, playwright etc, it probably does a good job. If you want to find a match to a complicaed query (like your trailer), it probably does a good job. If you want facts or references, it probably does a terrible job.

AI stock picking will be an interesting case study. Maybe it works for a bit. Maybe the knowledge pool gets poisoned. Most people won't know until it all goes wrong.

We're in a sweet spot where AI is able to harvest good quality data from real people who have contributed opinions, facts and ideas in good faith.

Moving forward, this pool of data is going to poisoned by the addition of both AI-generated content itself (which has already outpaced information generated by real people), and bad actors looking to corrupt the data with compromised or incorrect information. Like making a copy of a copy, every generation starts to degrade.

Starting to see this with AI-generated images where they are now trying to isolate source data from date ranges that precede AI-generated content. The sheer amount of AI slop you see on YouTube and DeviantArt is going to be the tip of the iceberg moving forward.

My opinion is that pre-2022 data is going to be hold a very valuable position, with validated and verified social media accounts and data from that era being coveted and also being ripe targets for hacking.

There are some websites that “harvest” copywrited material from instructors in colleges and universities that are then provided back to students at a profit. I hate these things. I may have allegedly, possibly, hypothetically, anonymously seeded some of their question and answer material with absolute ******** in case students attempt to access those sites during exams. I have also let the students know that such a thing is, hypothetically, possible.

Picking which AI stock to back will indeed be very difficult . Zuckerberg has bet the farm with the hire of a 28yr old billionaire , wiz kid Wang sombody after the first Metaproducts fell well short . Uncle Larry is running a hot ticket and Crypto is about to have a second wave with the promise of creating a stable global currency.
I learned to drive on a manual transmission and only recently aquired a digital camera so to say this is all a bit overwhelming is putting it lightly

Not just the AI stocks themselves, but pretty much anything that mentions AI in their press releases gets a nice boost as well.

My Shopify stock got a healthy 15% bump up a few days ago when ChatGPT was mentioned in one of their press releases.

Nice, but what does it really mean in turns of revenues and profits?

As far as I can tell, we're still firmly in the speculation/hype phase of the AI boom, similar to when pets.com had a valuation of zillions during the dotcom era.
