Cannot access GTAM on Android

The problem with this is that the fact it happens everywhere on any Internet connection including work points to a device problem specifically.

Can you ask him to have somebody else in the family try to access the website on *their* device using the same connection that he’s having trouble with and see if they are able to load it?

Thanks

Whenver it happens to anyone if you can get me the IP address you're on right away via the methods I mentioned above that'd be helpful. Thanks. :)

But @Jayell says he is able to get to GTAM when he fires up the VPN. And then when the VPN connection closes, he's SOL again.

To me that's either a local DNS thing (which we checked, gtamotorcycle.com resolves fine on his machine) or a server-side issue.

You know I was kinda wondering if this was IPv6 related

I don't think I'm in Burnaby, BC.

This appears to be the default Samsung browser you're using?

Is there a chance you've got some rogue VPN or adblocker service of some sort that installed itself as part of some dodgy app? It's weird that you'd be getting routed through BC otherwise. Does anything show in your phones VPN configuration settings?

I also know the default Samsung browser also has some potentially wonky anti-tracking stuff, the smiley face button on that screen. Can you check and see if any of that is turned on? If so, turn it off, reboot phone, and try again.

And sorry if we've already covered this (I've been troubleshooting multiple people now lol), but have you tried a different browser? Ie Chrome or Firefox?

Also, that "can't connect" screen, let me know if you see any more info there, I need to know the 404/403/etc error code ideally. Thx.

@Jayell can you try again on your home connection now. I gained access to the server firewall settings and may have found an entry in there for your 209.xx IP address.

If this unblocked you then it may possibly explain some of the other people having issues as well but still more investigation to do.

Sorry, I missed this one.

I'm using a Google Pixel 7, Android 16, Chrome browser by default, but no browser will work.

The "can't connect" images don't contain any more info; there is no 403, 404, etc. reference.

That IP doesn’t show up on the server firewall blacklist so back to square one, I will file another trouble ticket with the host later to pick their brain some more.
I don't know what a traceroute is. Is that what I did last week?

No, it’s a command line thing. Are you windows or Mac at home? The results would definitely be helpful as it would probably provide some insight on where things are going awry so far as your home connection.
