Can anyone help me install a clutch cable?

Clutch cable, fuel line/hose, brake line, and maybe even brake fluid line all need to go. But I'd be happy if I could just ride first.

I will pay (obviously). I live on 9th line and 407, bike is GS500F and I can (I think) call CAA to move the bike to your location if it is easier.

I can give you a service manual for GS500F in PDF and it's easy to do it yourself...
 
Typically, you don't wanna take out the old one. Just route the new one alongside it, so you know where it's supposed to go. Also remember that taking off the plastics is a hell of a lot easier than routing in tight spots unless you know EXACTLY what you're doing. It's an easy job. Make sure you lube the new one before you put it in.

Okay thank you for the advice. I will probably be bombarding more questions when I get the parts.

What are the chances of the throttle, fuel, and brake lines snapping? (Especially brake lines). I think the previous owner didn't do jack **** to maintain it or I did something horribly wrong in the past few months.

Call your local store and give them the product number. They're your cheapest option for a good product (I really like the 2-screw design).

As for the lube, any spray lubricant will do. I use chain lube because it's most convenient. DuPont Teflon Multi-Use, comes in blue cans, at Lowe's... Cheaper than "motorcycle-specific" lubes and uber-effective. Better than DuPont Chain Saver. Trust me, get the Multi-Use formula. (if you were wondering about chain lube).

If you can't find the tool, here's a ghetto solution that will do the trick. Take a plastic bag that's not punctured and make a cut on a corner. Get one end of your cable about 1" through the incision and use electrical tape to tape it to the cable SECURELY. Fill with a decent amount of motor oil (used stuff will do, if you dont have any used stuff, buy a bottle of the cheapest stuff, any viscosity that you see at Wally's World or Crappy Tire). Hang up the bag, put something underneath (to catch the oil) and leave overnight).

Well, I just realized something else may be a problem now:

My handlebars have been lowered, I'm not sure if the OEM one would be short enough. Is there anyway to shorten the cable?

I'm not picking the cable from Suzuki until tomorrow...I also noticed that a lot of the cables to the handlebar (throttle, brakes, etc.) are ziptied together lol I wonder if that would shorten it and help...?
