Thanks for the info. I called and put my name in for wednesday.
I've always wanted to try one..... Could be a good touring bike.

I'm curious to try this ski-doo with wheels just because it peaks my curiousity but t just sucks that they made this during the week during business hours.

Of course you'll need to lean in with it turning.
I've been sledding for a long time, and the physics between the two are pretty much the same. Biggest difference is braking, on the sled it's just the track and on the spyder it's front and rear. That would have a huge difference on "turn in" under braking.
I hang right off the side of my sled, I mean so far that my "outside" foot isn't touching the running board any more and I'm capable of taking turns at some pretty high speeds because of leaning in, the spyder will benefit from having all that weight on the inside.

Went on the demo ride last year in Orillia, was not impressed with the handling and power. But if your a long hauler and like to be very comfortable this may be your ticket.
On a side note they just recalled these things for caliper pins falling of the brake calipers lol.

I still can't wrap my head around the whole Spyder concept. I'll have to demo ride one some day, because I just don't see the point of a single rear wheel drive ATV with limited luggage space and a bagful of gee-whiz technology used to overcome the inherent deficiencies of a two front-one rear wheel setup.

Not my cup of tea. I think a little convertable would be just as effective like a Honda S2000 or even a Mustang GT. Wind in my hair, significant other at my side.

But, they do have a following and anything that gets folks out and trying something different is fine in my books. I just wont be running to the dealer just yet.

The target market for these things has nothing better to do during regular business hours. I suspect that is the reason for the date and time lol lol.

I thought all demos for all makes were during business hours.

One thing to keep in mind with the Spyder is that obstacle avoidance is a challenge. On a bike, it's pretty easy to miss crap on the road. In a car, it's not hard to straddle or avoid crap. With a trike, you have three separate wheel paths to keep clear. That can be very hard to do. On the plus side, just hitting a glancing blow on a dead raccoon won't spill you like it can on a bike.

A friend of mine has one of these and loves it. I haven't tried one yet and, although it's not for me, I wouldn't mind giving one a try. I don't understand why they are so limited in power though.
