Been wanting to try one of these things just to say I have. I think I'll wait for a local dealer tho.

(p.s. fixed your thread title)

Your not missing much .. overpriced and underpowered, and the computer controls everything so there is no fun to be had.

But, still, I wanna try it, just to say I have:D

The only time I have EVER seen one of these things actually being ridden by a couple was in Costa Rica and I have wanted to try one ever since. I am sure it can't be as fun as riding, but it is something I am curious about as well.

I found it more fun than my Ninja 250.

Then you must not be using the ninja correctly....jk

never been on one, seems like it would similar to sled...the machine doesn't really lean, you hang off more, or so I am told....little pricey though.....I still think I would prefer a hack...never ridden one of those either...

i actually saw one of these on the road in Mississauga going E/B on Burnhamthorpe toward Hurontario

he waved at me, i waved back... was super puzzled

never seen these on highways though

When you first take a turn on one, it feels akward as hell... like it wants to flip over. But then you realize that shifting your body and weight is even more important than on a motorcycle, and it becomes fun. I demo'd one at Ontario Place last summer in the rain. It was cold and ****** out, but it was still kind of a fun ride. I kept trying to get the back end to slide out, and it does momentarily but then TC catches on. The guy said it can't be turned off (maybe, maybe not?).

Fun ride. Nothing like a motorcycle when it comes to handling.

Leaning on that thing looks kinda silly but I'm curious nonetheless. Maybe I'll check it out.

The computer won't let the bike flip, so there is no need to lean, unless it helps override the computer's tendency in the corners to engine brake.
Now, I chased a Spyder, through some back roads in Gaspe, with my fully loaded Ural, a couple of years ago.
I couldn't come close to matching his acceleration in a straight line. But I would always catch up in the sweepers, since my bike was loaded with kid and camping equipment, I could take right or left sweepers as fast as I wanted. And since I didn't have a computer slowing me down, I could push my bike to its limits. Which weren't much anyway. :D

The computer won't keep YOU on the thing though! I found that even in mild turns without much speed, the lateral force on my body was enough that I had to shift my weight into the turn. It's unnatural otherwise. Those things can carry quite a bit of corner speed and there's absolute need to lean/shift weight into the turn if you intend to stay on top of the machine and out of the ditch.
