Hi, My name is Jack. A friend of mine and myself have been fans of the DT series of Yamaha for over thirty years. I have a 1981 Dt175 that I purchased new, and still own. We have always dreamed of trying to get a more modern DT. 1981 was the last year DTs were imported into the US. I believe that in Canada ( close to the US) you guys had a DT230. water cooled, disc brake, updated suspension, all the things we would love to get our hands on. I have been searching without ANY luck as to find even one? Did something happen I am unaware of? A ban on two stroke street bikes. A government sponsored collection with reciprocation? Why am I not seeing any? What is the most used selling media in Canada? ( Cycle trader, Craigslist ) . I would appreciate any and all thoughts.

Try your luck with www.kijiji.ca most motorcycles in Canada are sold there

kijiji and craigslist however it various between cities.

ie. craigslist in Kingston, ON is lame, however Kijiji.ca is well used.

However a quick search didn't results in any Canadian ones for sale. However a few in the UK and NZ. If there's a Japanese version you can try calling Nuak out of Scarbrough, ON.

The DT200 is the only one I remember, and I took my license test on one many moons ago ...

HI, does it have to be a Suzuki?
Yamaha had a XT225 here and has a XT250 now that would be close.
Unless of course it is the 2 stroke you realy want then no maybe not.
