Broken ankle ... ends my riding season

Its getting more and more difficult to walk by my bike in the underground on the way to my truck .... I really miss riding already. I tried to fill the gap by going helmet shopping yesterday...

Withdrawal symptoms in May is not a good sign. And stepping into a motorcycle store is not making life any easier. Tarp your bike so you don't see it. Watch porn instead. For the next 9 months.

I was able to stand without the air cast today (not dr. Approved of course) but thats a good sign ... im also able to flex my ankle about 25 % up and down.... im actually confident I will be riding before the summer ends ...

Yeah .. my last helmet was a rushed purchase as I needed something for the safety course .. ill take my time this time around and I have some $ saved up now also ... get something really decent.

Is there a summer motorcycle show ....

Thanks for the comments ;) now off to watch some porn ... muhahahah ...

Doubt it will ever come to this since your recovery is progressing, but if your ankle bothers you in the long run (like my shoulder does on some random days) I can help you set up a servo (small electric motor) assisted shifter.
1) put a sensor/button at the top and bottom surface of your shifter so a light tap triggers the servo to take over and move the shifter in either direction
2) disconnect your brake lever from your brake assembly, put an angle position sensor on it, and use your right foot for shifting.....although you wouldn't have a back brake :)
3) set up a paddle shift on your left handle (like your indicator switch or some paddle style bicycles) and use your thumb to control the shifts
4) whatever else you can think of

Although you'll still have to rest the weight of your leg on the peg
