Brembo vs. Accossato

I'm buying a new front brake master cyl. Was going to go Brembo but saw Accossato as an option. haven't heard too much about Accossato and was wondering if anyone has an opinion? I know you can't go wrong with Brembo but that doesn't mean there aren't other worthy options.
Any opinions?

Ive seen and felt the Accossato in person and although it does look high quality and feels good, when it comes to things like this I go with the originator. Just look at the Accossato and its clear its direct copy of the Brembo....

The Brembo I can vouch for 100% I had a 19x20 from 2001 that I used to move to every bike I owned, after having it on 3 different bike I eventually sold it to a friend. And he is still using it to this day...10 years in use on multiple bikes and never one rebuild.

Ive had the 19x20 in forged and now I have the billet, you cant go wrong with these levers with good fresh racing fluid they never fade...

If Im not buying a Brembo Id go for a Magura, but only the billet ones....

You spent $2K on a master cylinder? Holy ****.

No I dont have the motoGP one that is $2500

I have the discontinued Billet 19x20, it was $750 when I bought it

On the same bike I also have the billet 2 piece HP calipers ($1800) in the front and the billet 2 piece rear HP caliper ($950)

Kinda silly but just the wheels and brakes on that bike are almost $10,000, and its not even near top of the line stuff...My Brembo calipers are entry level for Brembo billet. You can spend $4000 each front caliper without pads, once you get into the billet monoblocks your $1500+ each caliper. And a $100+ each pad (not a set)

For the price and performance I really like the Magura 190 series masters, I have a 20mm front brake and I like it just as much as my Billet 19x20 brembo at almost half the price...

The other bonus with Magura is you can actually buy every part of the master, even the internals. Which Brembo will not sell you...They want me to send my master to Italy for them to fix internals...You can only buy a simple crash repair kit that only consists of the top hat, pushrod, and rubber boot......

Tony was telling me that Brembo used to sell the internals rebuild kit but then stopped possibly due to liability issues.

I bought most of my Brembo stuff from him.....When I crashed at the track I need to replace the push rod on my billet Brembo and on the billet you need a special tool to remove the top hat to do that. They would not even sell me the tool, Tony said I would have to send the master to Italy...I made my own tool instead....

I can't wait till Pegassus finds this thread

that is by far the best and coolest looking kawi around!!!

What are you using for fluid? Looks very clear.....

wow! sticker shock! $90/L!!!!

Who said top of the line racing fluid would be cheap? LOL

PS I dont pay $90 for it either.....I get it for $60 and its 1L compared to RBF660 I was using before it which is $30 for 500ml....So Its the same price just a 2X bigger bottle

For me its worth it, if I use RBF600 or 660 I have to flush my fluid 2-4 times a season...With the SRF I only do it once maybe twice a year....That and it does not fade as easy

And here I was thinking that I was using fancy repsol fluid.

Your just paying for the Repsol name, otherwise it has average DOT4 brake fluid specs. For my needs I need the highest boiling point possible, and the SRF has it!

Repsol wet boiling point 311F
Motul RBF 600 wet boiling point 418F
Castrol SRF we boiling point 518F

Oh well I never paid much for it... tony usually through in a couple bottles (250ml I think) for $5 with my brake lines ahha.

500ml....that will do almost 3 bikes....

$90/L is worth it, if I can split it up between a few ppl....but that seems like a waste to me...too much fluid...for a few bikes

Can you recommend anything that's better than EBC DOT 4? That's affordable....and my brakes don't get the same amount of abuse as yours do either....

Yeah I can do a few bikes with the 1L bottle, so it equals out....

I dont think you would require anything better then an average DOT 4, besides the Castrol SRF I prefer Motul products. They are all very similar unless you are looking for an extremely high boiling point

He's gonna steal all your knowledge and techniques :D
