I hate when good intentions go wrong.
Yesterday my wife was working the night shift and she was worried that she didn't have enough time to get gas in her bike before she left. She was stressing about it.
So I told her not to worry, I have some gas in the garage I can fill her bike up with.
So I did.
But had a hard time falling asleep last night, because I started to worry that there may be water in that gas.
I was keeping it to use in the lawn mower. It was 91 octane and everything.
All I need is my wife waking me up at Midnight saying that her brand new bike won't start or run.
So tonite I decided to put a bit of Methyl Hydrate in the tank to suck up any water in the gas.
I put a cap full of Methyl Hydrate in the cap of the bottle and pour it into the tank.
Doesn't the foam seal from the top of the cap fall into the tank.
Now I'm stressed. Wife will want to ride to work tonite.
I haven't fed the kids yet and I can't let her ride with that piece of foam in the tank.
3 hours it took me to get it out of there.
Tried to get it out through the filler cap. No dice.
Had to take off the fuel pump to get it.
So I got the kids fed and got the foam out of the tank with an hour to spare.
I even had a chance to take it out for a test ride.
