Hey,
I had my bike parked on my street close to my house last night, I deliberately left about four feet of space behind the SUV parked there.
I hop on to go this morning and half way down my street my mirror falls off!. I seems like whomever broke it put it back on to make it appear to be fine. Man I'm bummed.
I had a bad feeling about that bus last night because of the way he was parked, not quite straight.:(

Was there any other damage?
If it's just the mirror, count your blessings and move on...

Bummer. At least your bike wasn't tipped over... or was it?

Was gonna say the same thing.
I think he's gonna be upset when he takes a closer look.
Mirrors don't typically break off from being bumped.

Yep......

Look at your grip, your lever end, your fairings, your case covers etc......

If all it was was a mirror, you should have a huge smile bud.

I know it sucks, but sounds like it was backed into........and then fell over

Thanks people,

My mirror was the closest thing to the back of the truck, due to the way I parked. He did not tip the bike over and as far as I can tell it's just the mirror.

I am grateful that's all that happened. I guess its just a good reason to get the bar end mirrors I've been checking out...

This is why an alarm is handy. You may have heard it and come out to investigate the hit and run.

If I have to park on a busy street I usually snap a pic of the plate of the car in front and the one behind on my phone just in case. Doesn't help if someone else comes and takes the spot and does the damage but it could be useful in certain cases say if a witness says "a white car backed into your bike" and you have a photo of it. Only takes a second and I delete them afterwards.

great idea, I had a bad feeling abou that SUV like I mentioned. Next time a bad feeling comes over me, its picxture time.
I did not even think of that.. smart

That is a good idea. Thanks.
