Rider's Choice is also having a sale, but their site is SLOOOOOOW as molasses, so be warned (you can probably get to the store in person before the site loads).

I bought a sweet Miller MiG welder and saved about $500. I’ve got my nose pressed up against the living room window waiting for Fed Ex to deliver it today. I love welding stuff to my bike.

Maybe edit your post to say you plan on using it on your bike, just so we can keep this in the general forum.

I'd love to learn to do some simple welding, on my list for next year.

The specs say 20A. Would it work on a standard 15A outlet for something simple like tacking a nut onto something, or would it trip the breaker right away?

Yes, you just won’t be able to use it to its full capacity.

Mine has a 20A setting and I use it all the time on a 15A service w/o issue.

Mine kicks the breaker after about 5 seconds of continuous bead. I plug it into the generator if I remember.

I guess I could always run an extension cord to one of my 20A kitchen outlets if it became a problem. I'd be surprised if I needed to use it more than a few times a year.

Make sure you use a 12 guage extension chord if you do that. Costco sells real nice ones that come 2 x 50’ 12guage chords in a pack for about $60. That’s a really good deal, I’ve bought dozens of them for work.

Mine has 4 settings. The #4 setting says 20A. It's only for thicker material so I don't use it all the time but again when I have I've yet to trip a breaker.

I had nothing on my shopping list, but thanks to @timtune for igniting the spark about budget welders, I now have one of these arriving tomorrow for just over $200:

YESWELDER Gas Gasless 160A multiprocess MIG Welder,Flux Cored/MIG/Lift TIG/Stick ARC Welder 4 in 1 Welding Machine,Synergic Control 110V/220V Dual Voltage, YWM-160

EDIT: You probably want to buy directly from their website for a few bucks more to get the full 3-yr warranty. Apparently if purchased from Amazon, the warranty is only 1 yr. 🤷‍♂️

Dammit....... I may have a problem.
End of the day it's still a canned tune and getting the bike on a physical dyno with a good tuner will accomplish more. I had a BT Stage 3 tune in my S1000XR and it was a solid improvement but for the price I'd get a proper local tune if I had to do it over.

Agreed.....
I don't have the skill at any rate.
Just want the flat spot gone.
