Biker who leds cops on 160 mph chase nabbed 4 months later

When I hear of guys getting arrested with type of evidence I always wonder what kind of dumb *** lawyer he hired.
In that video, there was no evidence of who the actual rider was.
Maybe the bike could be identified, but, how was the rider identified?

I do agree that the rider was stupid as hell for posting it on the internet. If he get arrested over that video, he deserves it.

That is the kind of video you share with very close friends only. Even if you do that, they are still going to think you are a dick.

Yep. You have to be a complete idiot to admit to this.

Well he has all kinds of time to play with his videos. A good lawyer will likely get him off, but a good lawyer wouldn't have been able to prevent his arrest. Also remember this is in the good ole USA, where judges are elected, and they tend to think convicting people of crap like this will lead to another election win.

It will also depend on weather at 20 he can afford the quality lawyer he will need. He will no doubt be back on the road soon. Again it is the USA the home of the free and the brave....

He's guilty of running from the police. That by itself could put him in jail. My concern with behavior like this is not with catching the rider, or if he hurts himself, or even if he hurts someone else, which is rare. My main concern is the way this will effect legislators who are likely to go off the deep end with constrictive new legislation banning certain bikes. It's your life in the end, and you can kill yourself if you want, but don't screw the rest of us over when you do it.

He's guilty of running from the police alright.

They should have to prove that video was indeed him.
How do they do that?

... show up at his door and ask him. A good many people incriminate themselves at this point.

Or take him into custody for questioning. A good many people incriminate themselves here, too.

Even when taken into custody ... you are not required to say ANYthing.

He has already confessed, and done so to both the local police and on national news. Any lawyer would have to be very very good.
