Saturday I attended the Rider Down First Aid course at Royal Distributing, Innisfil location. It was very worthwhile. The instructor was very knowledgeable and has riders in her family. There were some good videos, even got corny to get the point across.
One of the main shocks to me was how much I have forgotten my first aid, and some of the new procedures or improved ways to deliver them. The cost is free but you help the cause by buying a first aid kit and or helmet emergency info sticker and patches. Low cost anyway.
Very worthwhile 3 hours. I remember signing up last year and got nowhere, but this year they’ve upped their game with many dates and locations. Don’t hesitate to sign up if you can. I also had a terrific group of 6 other riders with varied experiences and riding styles. They asked excellent questions and the instructor was keen to stay long after the 3 hours to answer and let us practice out first aid skills on the manikin . Highly recommended.
