Bike won't Start ! Help

I bought a 2002 Suzuki GSXR Nov 2012,worked fine then 2 weeks after during winterization process it wouldn't start,so jump started it n let it sleep till spring.And come spring it didnt start so figured its the battery issue.So I bought a brand new Yuasa battery and crossed my fingers,but it wouldn't start.I heart just sank ! :( Lights are turning on ,bike's in neutral n clutch is pulled in,bike makes the sound attempting to start but it just wouldn't. AM I DOING ANYTHING WRONG or there is something that needs to be done.I also tried jump starting it ,but that also didnt help. Please advice .I just wanna hear her sound again !
 
Is the kill switch set to run? Does it have a power commander?

To be honest, I'm not even sure ! I should check it out.Is it generally around where the battery is ?

Generally, or in the trunk. It's common after storage or swapping the battery, to forget to connect that little ground wire/ring visible in the above pic, and it causes the fuel injectors not to fire = bike won't start. See if there's any extra wires around the battery, that you forgot to connect.

i think i noticed some black colored wire hanging around the battery i.should i connect it to the negative side or positive side ?

Generally black is negative ;)

Air, Fuel, Spark - you need all three for it to start.

Air
- Check to see that mice didn't make a nest in the air box.
- Check that the throttle bodies are seated properly

Fuel
- Is the fuel pump whirring?
- If you have a PC, disconnect it from the fuel injector wires. (already suggested)

Spark
- Kill switch (you already checked that)
- Clutch switch
- Side stand switch

Those are all the easy stuff, afterwards, it means pulling a spark plug to see if they're wet. If wet, you're getting fuel.

At the same time you could ground the spark plug and see if you're getting a spark.

Where are you in TO, I'm in Mississauga and have a 2002 GSXR 750 as a track bike.

it worked ! bike is on.... :p But there seems to be another issue... the choke was all the way down n I guess exhaust became so hot that it melted a small part of the farring ....i could smell the burnt plastic... i turned the bike off...n then restarted with the choke all the way up....temp keep rising slowly to 95.... as i started to slowly bring the choke down again...the exhaust became very hot...... I think farring was probably too close to the hot exhaust (during the winterization process I had taken it took for the oil change) ... any guesses ?

That's awesome! So it was that extra black wire that wasn't connected?? NICE!

Have a look at the bodywork and around the headers. One time when I had the bodywork off I missed two push pins and the plastic guard in front of the headers wasn't in the right place and was touching the headers!!! Didn't smell very good :( Check and make sure everything is lined up and clipped/bolted in properly.

Thanks Jamie ! you solved the problem ..I've been trying to figure it out for a week ...lol I'll look into the bodywork & headers tomorrow..... but you dont think it has anything to do with over heating or anythng ..... bring the choke down makes the tachometer up ....while riding should it be down or up ?

I've never owned anything with carbs so you got me on the choke lever ;) You'll know if it's not in the right spot because you'll have trouble starting it if it's cold. Whatever setting works for that is the opposite position you ride with ;)

Bikes run hot, especially when they aren't moving, I don't think it was overheating :)

When starting the bike cold etc the choke will be in the forward (up) position.

When riding the choke should be set in the back (down) position.
