Just looking for some feedback.
What would you like to see at a scheduled bike meet.
What would turn you away.

To be fair, I tend to stay away from random meetups.
But looking for ideas for future consideration.

I enjoy seeing vintage motorcycles that usually only show up at bike meets and otherwise don’t see the light of day. Haugen’s, on Hwy.12 just outside of Port Perry use to have a really good bike night and would have a really good turnout. It t wasn’t unusual to see 2 or 3 mint CBX’s and the odd Kawasaki triple. Bar Hodgeson who literally lives 5 minutes down the road use to show up on a really nice ‘73 Kawasaki 900 occasionally.

Bikes of interest. For me that usually means vintage of some kind.
Beer is always welcome.
Some shade.
Interesting local maybe....

Likes: Chatting with riders
Dislikes: Riding with riders.
I used to lead rides on Thursday nights. Apparently the fact that I don't slow for much of anything leads people to ride over their heads, but at a moderate pace that doesn't draw LEO attention, there are very few corners that should challenge anyone - or so I thought. For the most part, I didn't have troubles until we had a crop of newer riders sometime in the late 2000s to early 2010s which put an end to that with multiple people crashing - and one that crashed twice. I tried a few things - riding sweep, having the talk about riding pace, telling people that we'd wait at the next junction, etc. etc. and it happened enough times that I gave up before someone got seriously hurt (well, there was that one...)

The plus: it drove me to ride track a lot more. And I took a bunch of people along with me.

Now I don't want to ride with anyone that I don't know well. The kind of people that I'm taking down to Deal's Gap with me in a few weeks.

Agreed, I went to that show quite often and the reason I would go to any bike meetup is to see older/obscure bikes. I don't go to many bike meetups as frankly I'd rather be riding instead of standing around.
I'll ride with a small handful of people and don't do group rides.

OP You planning to get out and ride this year?
Hopefully, if anything I'll have to move bikes around at the shop.

I don't go to many motorcycle meets, I'll only show up if I'm meeting my riding buddy(s) there, before or after a ride.

So it would be nice to be somewhere where I can get a drink and sugary snack while we chat before or after we ride. Somewhere away from the centre of town would be good too, so it's an easy spot to get to and from the good roads without stewing in traffic.

Only one I went to last summer was one out in Mrs. Sauga, Backroad Coffee Roasters on Queen St. Not too much traffic in and out, and close to some of the roads out in Halton Hills.

My most recent bike meet, this past Friday... Three old guys stopping to pee.
