Best exhaust?

The Yoshi pipe seems to be pretty popular on the 650R.

Depends what kind of sound you are looking for. I have a Leo Vince on mine and it sounds okay. Deep but not deep like the 2 Brothers. The 2 Brothers will activate car alarms and make you disliked by your neighbors. If you ever want to hear the Leo Vince, let me know.

I have a leo vince on my bike and i love it, are you going to do a full exhaust system or just a slip on?

J- Force FTW

The 2 Brothers exhausts always looked "cheap" to me... I don't know, maybe it's the way they're designed. I know it's all personal preference and if that's what you like, then go for it.
Personally, I'd go with the Leo or keep shopping for more options.

I have a Jardine on my gsxr600 07 and it scares women n children.

Hi Rodney,
The Parts Canada exhaust catalogue (what they call Volume 2) is available online - you might be interested to read through and see what's readily available for your model.
They distribute Akro, Yosh, FMF, V&H, Jardine and others in Canada.
These are the same catalogues found on the counter in any bike shop, and stuff can usually be ordered and received within ~72 hours.

Two Brothers sells a lot of slip-ons (though they make full systems too) because their carbon fibre has a unique diamond-pattern to it, very attractive.
LeoVince is serious high-quality performance stuff, equal to Akro in my world, and they're known mostly for full systems.
These 2 brands are also available in Canada, through different distribution...
I kinda like the little Jardine underbelly systems for your model, looks a lot like the Buell-style exhaust.
Anyway good luck to you,
Regards

Please be more specific. Best exhaust in what aspect? Performance? Sound? Look?
Then you can narrow your decision.

You want to be careful with what you buy. If you want to ride around Caledon, Belfountain, Forks of the Credit area you may want to stick with the stock exhaust.
I had bought a used VFR that had a Micron carbon fibre on it and at the end of the can it actually has something like "Not For Road Use" stamped into it. I was lucky to get a stock can for $80.
If you leave for work early in the morning or come home late at night your neighbours will not be pleased if you have something loud and there may be a temptation do something to your bike if it is not locked away all of the time.

Yea, a loud pipe could PO neighbors, although their are others on my street with bikes and fast noisy cars. Still, I ride in the evenings, so this is something I have to keep in mind. Having kids myself, I know how annoying it is if a bike/car wakes them up. I suspect most aftermarket pipes are going to be louder than stock.

Some come with a baffle that will make it sound very close to stock.

The physical size of the muffler is a give-away to just how loud it will be. Don't get a shorty or anything of that sort and you'll be fine.

Lots of manufacturers (higher end ones anyway) also give you a removable baffle which will deaden the noise quite a bit, but still sound sporty and better than stock.

If you have the cashola, get Akrapovic. Nobody has ever complained about an Akra pipe, they're top quality and the sound is stellar. Yoshimura would also serve you well.
