Usually property the $100 sj1000 works with most go pro mounts
why not just get a used go pro hero from ebay? you can get them pretty cheap on there, they record in 1080 video, no need for all the fancy crap the hero3 black supermagic hyper edition dos if you arent producing professional videos. ive got two of the original hd heros and both take great video
I just got an SJ4000 last week and so far it seems pretty good in my truck. Haven't mounted it to my bike yet though, but I'll put up some footage when I do.

Yea its true but there are some fairly good china KO gadgets that are still a high quality. Some of then are basically clones with the same chipsets. As long as you do your research you can pick up a a good deal.

I've seen all these amazing videos on you tube so
I bought a gopro hero3 black edition,
And to be honest yea the quality is amazing its nice to be able to see dirt flying off ur tires , but.....
I think a lot of it is editing . Let me tell you i have a lot of great footage but im not that great in editing the video so my videos are just plain 30-40 mins videos
So really i should have just gotten a contour roam2.

I bought a "new" Contour Roam 2 (open box special) @ Henrys, for $130.
I got a Mobius camera for $68 shipped, after a firmware update the picture quality is crazy good! The audio isn't much better than a GoPro though, if at all. Super nice that it takes 64gb cards unlike my Hero2.

What are the mounts like? Many of the cheap cams I see have a handlebar mount and a weird helmet mount
There are some universal mounts and straps that use the tripod thread with is universal to all cameras (that have the tripod mount).
I found this to be the best option for me:

No worry about mounts, they sell for ~$100 on Amazon, 2 hour battery life. They have 1080p models and likely 4K by next year.

Thanks for the heads up.. Already ordered the sj1000, and glasses-style cameras wouldn't work for me because I like to keep my glasses consistent and a good number of places where I play don't allow cameras, so I'd have to be switching between them and my safety glasses all the time.
