Baxley vs Cerka wheel chock

I have the Cerka one, works great. At the time, I bought it directly form Cerka ~$100 to my door.

Cerka, CDN company about 4kms from my house. Nice guys with a decent product. I have 3 of them.

That hasn't been my experience. I never even bolted it down to the trailer floor, I just used canyon dancers and two straps and the bike was solid.

All comes down to pricing.

They are both good products, and ive had this one, the baxley and the one from Royal as well.

I never bolt it to the floor either ..

Ive read one review where the guy said his bike was rocking side to side when on the cerka chock, any truth to that?

That was likely mine, although it was the other one without (what appears to be) as much adjustment at the front end (http://www.cerka.ca/comersus7f/store/comersus_viewItem.asp?idProduct=45). I never truly trusted it and have since replaced it with a Baxley and there's no comparison; the Baxley is much more solid.

The Cerka in question in this post wasn't in stock at the time so I can't comment on how well it may work with the different adjustments available. I will say that, like Pit Bull stands (which I don't have... yet) I think this is another case of "you get what you pay for".

I got to test out my new to me trailer today and my Cerka wheel chock worked like a charm. The bike was straight up and solid and wasn't bouncing around. Get the Cerka, you won't regret it.

did you get the one with adjustable head clamp or no?

For 50 bucks i figured ill give it a shot. What an epic waste of time this stand ended up being. Nothing fits, the bike stands on an angle as a result.

Save your money. Now ive gotta go return this hunk of junk tomorrow

I got mine a couple years ago, maybe they get it manufactured else where now or use cheaper material. Thankfully Princess auto almost always takes things back.

Its all made in china. Picked up ramp ends at princess auto and same story, i dont understand how something so simple they could screw up. They were crooked as hell...

Anyways ended up picking up the baxley today, i learned my lesson.

What a difference between the two chocks :lmao:

I have owned and returned almost every stand alone wheel chock available on the market (princess auto, royal distributing, etc...), the best one hands down is the Baxley.
