Baking during Corona

Trying Portuguese custard tarts again. The dough rolls are made %&*%^#%. Thin and sticky dough that needs to be rolled out several times, buttered and folded. The rest is relatively easy, maybe tomorrow.

WB, the Asiago bread, have you tried putting cracked black pepper into it? Makes the best toasted tomato sandwich.

Great idea. Next boule.

I finished doing up this years batch of crab apple jelly. Some Cabernet spilled into one of the pots. Nice on a cracker with a bit of cheddar.

I’m trying to not over jell this year. Instead of being fixated on temperature I kill the heat when a drop of the brew hangs off a cold knife like a booger hangs off a four year olds runny nose.

B's mother 35 years ago. Note the mashed potatoes. Delicious!

Baking adjacent. I picked up some scotch bonnet peppers to dehydrate and use in cooking (or spicy bread if you really wanted). Prepped them and put them in the dehydrator in the laundry room. Went down a few minutes later and it is like the gates of hell have been opened in there. Hopefully my wife isn't planning on doing laundry tonight. She will be unhappy with me. Cleans your sinuses though so that's a plus.

Edit:
It's spreading. The basement is now uninhabitable. Note to self, do this outside next time.
