Back-ordered Licence Plate Light

Hi, I have humiliated myself by walking my bike backwards out of a spot and smashing the license plate light. The dealer says that the part is back-ordered until June.

Any suggestions of where else I could look?

Maybe check with one of the riding schools (Learning Curves, RTI) ? I don't know whether they leave them on the school bikes or not.

If you aren't riding at night, I wouldn't worry about it.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.
Unless your riding in a way that would attract attention (especially cops attention) chances are no one will bug you about it.

If you want the stock look, just order it from dealer and wait for it to come in.

Or like @ScorpionT16 said, look into an aftermarket tail tidy.

The tail marker light should throw enough light.
If you are worried. I stock universal plate lights in a variety of configurations that you can have

Thanks all for your excellent replies. As a new rider this is all invaluable information for me.

It's the black duct-tape covering the missing light that irks me. The bike is perfect but for that shame.

I'm now examining my options
