At this rate, we wont need a Tesla anymore

Just because price went down, it does not mean emissions go down. Can't wait to hear how batteries can't be recycled, power plants pollute more than ICE, and some stupid meme with how a lithium mine looks like.

I think what Sunny is saying is there is there is no economic advantage or incentive to e_vehicles right now.

As far as emissions go, ICE cars need to hit 40mpg where a lot of coal is used (China, most of Europe), and about 55MPG in North America before they are as clean as a Tesla. Some cars are getting close so the carbon argument is getting squeezed too.

For the economics to work an EV would have to be a lot closer in price to an ICE. From an ecology viewpoint I still have concerns about battery disposal down the road.

I've seen some stuff posted about Italy's pollution levels, being reduced, also apparently the canals in Venice have cleared up so you can see through the water. Not sure how factual these are, but if there is some truth to it, might get people to think more about how we are impacting the planet.

Waiting on 69.9 here. It's getting closer. I remember 39.9 a gallon.

That was 1973, about 8.7c / l. I could fill my mini-bike for 15cents and ride all day.

Pretty sure I can actually remember 29.9, but I wasn't driving at the time.

That would be 1955, if you can remember that you might have a problem remembering how to start a motorcycle today.

Nah, I'm thinking mid/late '60's, so I could be wrong, but at some point it probably dipped.

Who remembers butts for 37 cents a pack?
I think they were a quarter when I used to buy them for my mom at the corner store, age 4.
