I lost my LAST key on a ride today (i know, I'm an idiot). Forgot to zip my jacket.

The challenge is, the key is chipped (immobilized), what scares me is the dealership may want to replace the ignition/ecu to program a new key. Is this the case, or am I mistaken? I hope I am.

Anyone have experience with this?

Dealerships are closed today and tomorrow, there's no one I can ask.

They don't have to replace the ignition/ecu...
Using the VIN# they'll be able to cut a key, but you would have to bring the vehicle in so they can program the key.
A locksmith might be cheaper though...
