Anyone smoke whilst riding?

I've seen some Harley riders comfortably smoke while they ride along. So I slapped on my half-lid n gave it a shot...not as easy on a sportbike. If anything it adds a huge load of discomfort trying to get the proper handling while at the same time protecting the ember from the wind. If I don't, by the time I reach the next light, its already out. I did find a sweet cig holder where the mirrors used to be. I just plop it in there until I get a good speed then take a few drags while enjoying the sun and breeze.

...still...I don't think I'll be doing that anymore. Too much effort to enjoy a good smoke...I think I'll just plop down at the next meet and enjoy the timmies, my Bitchez&Hoez(B&H), n some good convo.

Any comments/funny experiences?

I was once having a smoke waiting for some guys to fuel up (there was 10 or so in our group)

shortly after I lit my cig, everyone was ready. I knew it would be a few more hours till i had another chance, so i decided to try to bring my cig with me for a ride - in my full face helmet.

I can say i definetly wont be doing that again

within 10 seconds, i had got an 'eye toke' - which we know are no fun.

Then there is the problem of getting some 'regular air' - its hard getting a cig in and out of a helmet while trying to ride.

With a full windscreen and a half helmet.. id say its doable, though still wouldnt reccommend it.

How dumb would you feel if you crashed cause you couldnt swerve cause you were smoking.

Really? You need to smoke that bad? Not preaching but....wow.

That bad? What does that mean? I didn't have to do it, thought I would try it.. Wouldn't do it again.. Neither would the op

If people go thru a drive thru, do you say 'you had to eat that bad?'

I smoke constantly while riding - it's pretty much a step in my standard launch routine, following physically mounting the bike and preceding fastening the helmet and gloves (which are probably sitting on the tankbag at this point).

Tried it when I was in Ohio(no bucket law) took off, cig slapped me on the cheek but as I'm addicted to the stupid things, I'm hanging on to it with the corner of my lips, so as the cig is flapping against my cheek I get hit in the eyeball with some hot ash, which finally convinces me to let the thing go.

Been there, done that, almost lit my face on fire.

I've been successful in doing this up until 120km/ph wearing my 3/4 lid. Not all that difficult!

Some guy parked a beat to crap old Gixxer with mismatched plastics on it behind my work yesterday. I heard it when he started it up and took a look out the window. Had one of 1970s type of helmets on. You know the kind, where the half visor snaps on. He had a smoke hanging out of his mouth as he rode off. I had a good chuckle.

Hahah I remember you telling me that on that trip up to the Shooting range...it just came to mind which is why I brought it up XD
Although at 120, doesn't it feel like ripping off leaving u chewing on the filter? I get that at 60 already. Maybe they should incorporate chewing gum into the filter so you get fresh breath after every butt XD

...I think the only good reason for running carbs is the smoke I get while it's warming up XD

Even though I don't smoke I can't wait to get my Symba for this very reason to pick up the habit. Clutchless semi-shifter bike, rear brake pedals means I can do lots of things on my free left hand.

Do you flip the butts at other riders like they do in cages? ;)

Smoking is bad mmmmkay... really should just quit that nasty habit.. ;)

Easier said than done.. Personal experience.. I finally got the bad habit under control where I can say that I'm technially a non-smoker (might have one or two in a week).. But I still remember when I couldn't go through an hour without lighting one up. Let's put it this way.. Every time I had to take a flight, I'd also bring a bunch of nicotine patches.

Tried it once, pretty stupid. Your cig would burn out 5x faster, get ash on your face or gear, and uncomfortable when you got it between your fingers while gas or brake.

Find cagers with open windows and flick 'em at them.

Exactly....
How desperate do you have to be? It looks damn stupid too.

Smokers are jokers hahaha jk
I quit about 7 months ago, but I used to just find a nice place to stop for 5 mins and kill a butt then get back on and go. You can actually enjoy it then instead of fighting.

I am taking a break from smoking now but before I did - oh, I was like riding and thinking if I should drill a hole in my helmet so I can smoke!
Anyway - for me snus is the answer. Look it up, it is awesome - you can snus everywhere! I used northerner.com to get my supply and this is where I first heard about it - http://snusauthority.com/blog/
Just to give you an idea - I am between 30 and 40 and I have been heavy smoker since ~5th grade. I did not have a single puff for about month now. I just need to make sure I don't get addicted to snus :D
