Anyone know about rectifiers? GSXR problem- - how to tell the real - Ebay item

I am looking for a unit for a 2007 GSXR 600/750.
From my research this unit is better to use (Yamaha uses them)
I will mod the wires to fit the Suzuki. This kit gives you everything.

Can someone verify if this is a good part if not link to one would be appreciated.
It's the FOR that puzzles me. Is this thing a REAL Shindengen?
I sent seller an email, awaiting reply.

That ad is very non-specific as to whether that product is an original Shindengen or a clone. I'd shop from a reputable dealer like Roadster Cycle. They stand behind their products and offer presales and aftermarket service you won't see from that Ebay seller, something you'll need if you are replacing OEM for aftermarket.

I second Rick's - for the difference in price its not worth taking a chance on slipshod merchandise AND your local dealer can get one for you usually next day.

Roger that. Both of my Fizzers now have mosfet regulators from RoadsterCycle and I've had zero issues with them.

On the generation of gixxer that -D- is dealing with, the number one thing to do is to get that regulator away from the stock location! I have no idea what Suzuki was thinking when they put the regulator behind the radiator and above the exhaust headers.

@ BrianP
Yes, I did email him before.
I think that is what I will get, the unit from him.
His website is messy.

What the heck do I need exactly?
The relocation bracket - yes
And the unit with extra foot of wire?

He is selling the units that Yamaha uses.

Do I wire it to the battery directly or stick with the stock connection???

***I have not checked the stock current rectifier...bike is blowing headlight bulbs and shutting off (killing batteries).
I am just going to cut to the chase and change the rect and stator (new battery also).

Yeah. Throwing parts and money at the problem is always a good idea.

... ya might want to figure out what the problem IS before you try to fix it. It could be something as simple as a bad ground....

ya, don't worry...I know what I am doing.

The time spent riding is worth more to me than a $150 part.

It is a known, chronic problem - even if it hasn't failed this time it will eventually.

Yep, ricksmotorsportelectrics.com and roadstercycle.com. Two first class outfits. You can't go wrong. ?

If he hasn't relocated or done the recall for the R/R, it is 100% the R/R problem. It is a well known problem for that specific year and model. The 2008s also have similar issues.

I also want to replace the stator. I will check it for burnt coils when I pull it out.
Did you find (know of) a good replacement stator (from Ebay)??

Anyone know if I can get the stock stator rebuilt locally???

Have you done the recall before? I don't know how many recalls the 07 has but the 08 has 2.
