Already the full moon - be careful out there

It was a short 15km round trip, mostly shopping for some tools for work..

1) Leaving crappy tire, going straight in the mall access lane some suit in a late model Merc pulls out of the parking lot right in front of me, so I had to slam on the brakes. I lay on the horn to let him know that it wasn't cool.. He stops in front of me, gets outta the car, yelling "Why the **** are you honking at me? It was a blind turn." [normal + intersection with nothing obstructing the view] My response was "Buddy, I had the right of way, it ain't a blind turn and you better use your ****ing eyes" - Didn't say a word, just got his overentitled *** into his Merc and got outta there.

2) On the way home, I decided to fuel up. Just as I finished paying, some kid, prime specimen of cagerius leftturnius decides to make an unsafe left turn into the adjacent plaza, gets t-boned by a granny with bright yellow hair and not enough reflexes left (after being on this planet for 70+ years) to even hit the brakes. At least the moron didn't do it in front of a bike and hopefully, he learned a valuable lesson.

All in all, plenty of crazies out there. Be careful and ride safe. Being paranoid is a good start but it's not going far enough.
 
I was driving yesterday and some old man on his ebike was going to run the red light. My light was green, slammed the brakes, slightly skid, and gave him the finger. He didn't know what he did wrong, gave me the finger back.

Wanted to beat the **** out of him, but he's an old man, so just left. Then I look in my rear mirror...he runs the red.

ugh, ebikes are the WORST.
 
i see those ebikers all the time on dundas on my way to work. they are extremely slow (can do max 30km/h). isnt that illegal to do 30km/hr on 60 zone ? forget about being dangerous ...

i even seen ebiker gang once around UFT downtown. there were 5 of them riding together ...

Hopefully the next time he pulls this instead of doing it in front of a bike he does it in front of an 18 wheeler lol

I believe brainless is pulling in front of someone without checking if the way is free.
The way i look at it better the person who committed the stupid act get hurt than an innocent person. But hey, thats just my opinion.

But i guess in today's society responsibility is an unknown word, and nothing is ever anyone's fault.

BTW you're not comparing apples to apples here. No one in their right mind would want a family member hurt, be it their fault or not.

However i didn't wish this guy death or injury. But judging by his lack of skills and ****** attitude after the fact it will take something drastic to change the way he drives. Id simply prefer he runs into something bigger, where the other driver wouldn't sustain injury like a car or motorcycle, his insurance goes up, gets a nice careless driving ticket and hopefully any future carnage is prevented.
The same way id prefer a drunk driver meets a cement bridge support over a minivan with a family inside it.

It's okay, I hope the next time that old man does what he did to me, the driver isn't as nice or aware. I fully agree with your statement 8)

So what exactly did you "wish" to somebody else to happen? Whatever person does wrong, wishing them something like that is, well, dumb. I do not condone that guy's behaviour, but you personally have never ever done anything wrong or stupid on the road? You never cut anyone off? Please tell us, mister perfect driver/rider. I am really happy that the OP is OK, and his point is very valid that there are tons of morons on the road, but wishing them all to be killed by an 18-wheeler is kind of an over-reaction, don't you think?
 
I had a cager almost take another rider and I out on the weekend. Going north on Airport Rd north of Mayfield when a fellow rider in a HD passes me. A nod of the head either way as he pulls away. He's about 200 meters ahead when I see him swerve onto the shoulder. A dumb **** was passing other vehicles and was in a head-on collision with us. I managed to swerve to avoid him as well and the vehicle behind me had to react accordingly. A lot of fools out there full moon or not.

Exactly the same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago in the same area. Some blonde dumbo was gunning her SUV passing a few cars at a time and almost wiped me off the road.
