Advice on exhaust and integrated tail light for CBR 1000rr

I have the Blaster X integrated taillight and full Akrapovic exhaust and really like them both. Coming from an M4 system on my 600, the Akrapovic is quite a bit quieter. It sounds nice and doesn't drone on the highway.

for sure. I run the leo slip on w/o a fueling controller, it is designed for either. While it does lean it out at the top end a slight bit, the difference is marginal and to be honest, irrelevant for street riding, other than a bit more volume so the guy beside you on the highway doesn't come over. A full system and a fuel controller become pricey horsepower. If your racing, sure, but for the average person, not so much. With the slip on, the fueling becomes better than stock, but power is going to be hard to notice unless your really red-lining it, since the bike has power everywhere already. I'm going to be honest here, you keep talking about power but unless your planning to race, I'd spend your time and effort on developing rider skill rather than worrying about 1 or 2 HP. A fast bike does not a fast rider make. Save your money from go-fast parts and spend it on a racer5/FAST course instead.

thanks smergy for the input and the pics. Helped a lot, especially to get an idea what you did for the license plate.

so, general concenssus seems to be if i mod the exhaust the power and fuel will be thrown off/unbalanced on the bike,
yes?

so i would need to make further mods to rebalance and regain lost power?

man i wish i had more mechanical knowledge. I love this stuff, but don't know nearly as much as i would like.

Anyone up for a ride to port dover on Sunday? meeting up with some riders in T-DOT and heading out. lol, didnt realise we are closer than toronto anyway anyone up for the ride?

@OP - I have a very lightly used (under 1000km) Ohlins TTX shock for the 1000rr if you're interested. I bought it thinking I would be getting a RR, but have decided I dont want a supersport in the city, so have not used it.

If you're interested PM me.

OP I have an 08 1000rr with a Yoshi R77. I'm in Richmond Hill, if you'd like to meet and see/hear it, let me know.
I also have an integrated rear tail light you can check out.
