Some of it was shot down by the Connaught streetcar barns, in a few takes you can see them running in the background. The flat tire scene was shot on Cherry Street down by the lift bridge. The Chinese Restaurant was an actual local T.O. spot. The flagpole licking scene was shot at a school in St. Catherines. The fire truck is still there I believe.

Classic Xmas film for sure...RIP Bob Clark and son as well.. Both killed by an Mexican Illegal driving impaired. Was a good friends with my Father.

I got that lamp for my step-son a few years ago. He displays it proudly.

Dear God , Gavin whatsoever signed on to make a mediocre movie and created a classic . Peter , the kid , is now a famous director . Possibly the best Christmas movie because it hits hard for so many of us , ****** cars , TVs that don’t work , relationships that are sideways and the campy Canadian mix . Chippewa fire truck ….
