407 M/C toll (Again)

Got my bill and there was a Video toll charge although I had registered my bike with my cage transponder. I called them and they deducted the charge. Apparently there is a "Supression" that gets put on the bike plate but the suppression is subject to factors such as rule changes, expiry dates and a bunch of things that only worry warts worry about. Somehow my suppression got suppressed. Twenty minutes of my life for $3.65. Life is cheap.

Next time just wheelie past the camera, or better yet get a flip plate

Yep. They did this to me too. Had to deal with it three months in a row. Apparently the first two support people didn't reapply the suppression as they said the did.
I think they do it just to see who's paying attention to their bill, and to try to score a few extra $$$ from those who don't pay attention.

The same thing happened to me. The supression lasts 2 years they say, so every time it expires it takes 2 to 3 billing cycles to get it restored. I asked why it had to be renewed at all and they said it was in case something changed to alter the status as motorcycles do not need to have a transponder, but all other vehicles do. Right, like the bike might grow another 2 wheels sometime during the supression period and require a transponder. I also asked can you tag the account so that current month VTC's get reversed as well. No. can't modify a current month. You have to wait until period closes and then get charges reversed when they appear on your statement. Guarantees 2 to 3 calls to fix something that should not occur in the first place. It's like the customer service people want to drive call volumes to justify their jobs.

Last thing I did was flag the date in Outlook so I remember to call in 2 years to get the supression re-instated before it expires. I sure that when I call in 2013 I'll be told I can't extend it until it expires.............

Don't waste your time on the phone. Log into your account on the website and request an adjustment that way. It's under the "Request Charge Adjustment" section of your account.

I got charged for 3 trips in August when I wasn't in the Province/Country. I have proof of being outside Ontario (in the form of a speeding invoice) and they (407) won't do anything about it. How effed is that?
