Well I have bought 3 sets so far and happy so far. The price cant be beat $30 shipped to your door via DHL...and they work and look as good as the $60-$100 set you buy local that are made in china as well !

You sir find all the greatest deals

gotta always be looking, and hey its only $30 if they fail....but I only use hid on my low beam on the 929rr so I have a back up light and ballast.

I read in a bunch of places that xentec has DC output. The bulbs die quicker. I guess you are still ahead if they outlast incandescents.

Are they relatively easy to install and im assuming for a dual headlight assembly like my 03 r1 i will need 2 which makes then $60. Daytonas prices are very close so would rather support local for a couple bucks more. Also I like the hi/lo beam ones.

Thats $30 for 2 bulbs and ballast

are you guys installing these HID kits after doing a projector swap?

otherwise, you're just blinding oncoming traffic, and actually reducing visibility

The particular listing OP linked to says DC, but the seller does have AC and bi-xenon for sale as well for around $15 and $30 more, respectively.

Which is why they should be banned. But the point of modding bikes is to pi$$ people off, apparently.

Here come the projector nazis lol. Almost as bad as the ATGATT guys
Actually, doing a projector retrofit you are reducing your visibility in corners, those sharp cut-off lines work against you in the corners.
If you set the HID's up properly (Angled down a little more than normal halogens) they don't blind as bad as the guys that just throw them in.

i've gotten flashed more with my standard halogens in my SV than I ever did with the HID's in the ninja. Still want to do a projector retrofit tho, it's just fun to do.

+1 for the installed them properly on my gsxr and they're not blinding. I've had multiple friends confirm this by driving towards me at night. The output is WAY better and as said projectors aren't helping you in corners any.

But they still do blind.....

My light output with my stock setup is better than hid's. Unless you have projectors, halogen housings are not meant for the heat and light output of hid's.

But everyone wants their bike to look "cool"

Please don't ruin bikes for future owners by installing these kits...I had to remove one from one of my bikes when I bought it. In most cases the OEM light setup generates more light anyway

Its my bike, I can do as I see fit

I installed 10000K HID's low/high on my ninja 650. They arent "BLINDING" to the oncoming traffic. As for the heat and light output, you do have a point about that but that is why getting the lower wattage reduces that risk drastically...usually theres 2 options for ballasts. 35 or 55 watt...55 watt might make it slightly brighter but may affect the housing if youre the type to drive with high beam on all the time.
