I don’t think this community has a lot of ride stuff. How about posting some planned rides with open invites for the site members?

List a few things:

Route (with stops or accommodations if overnight)
Date
Terrain ( hwy, road, gravel, off-road)
Experience requirements

@shanekingsley does a nice job of describing his rides, how about a few more of us?

I’ll do the first.

I to 4 riders

I'd be up for this one but I have to be a "maybe" until a bit closer to the date.

April 10 up in Timmins could be flakey but props ... good idea.

Sounds like a KLR friendly ride. Not sure what's on for April yet though.

Are you thinking mostly a fishing trip or you plan to the Travel Gravel up there?

Mad Mike very gracious of you to offer a free stay and a fishing excursion on top. If later in season would be all over this. Great idea for a thread and lets hope its lasts.

Anyone that wants to come East from the GTA, I'm happy to meet anywhere North and West of Bancroft etc. and run a little ride through some great roads more local to me (depending on how far North). Warning: I don't ride dead on the signed speed and I avoid long straight roads. Happy to run as far east as Ottawa and as far North as Wilno, though it's a bit of a snooze riding from Barry's Bay to the turnoff to Confederation Lake / Old Calabogie.

I stay off the roads Sat-Sun but I'm in for weekday rides in that are as well.

If you are curious:

I'll be heading to BC's Okanagan again...
Not sure when... Last trip I left May 31st...
It was alright...
'Might wait until July/August this year.

Keep an eye on forest fires tho.
June is best but even that might be too late to avoid them.....,,,,
Plus it gets super hot inland in the valleys tho Vancouver Island is nice. It hit 30c in late June on the Yellowhead....ironic seeing snow on the surrounding peaks and sweltering. 🥵

Oh yeah....'Been there done that a few times.
I remember riding by small fires along the side of the road while on #3 between Osoyoos and Grand Forks...
During my very first ride out west I could see the BC smoke from Saskatchewan..!
