2026 MotoGP (spoilers allowed)

In addition to FSR, mentioned above, MotoGP will also be shown on Sportsnet+. As a streaming service, scheduled recordings are not possible; one must watch live, hardly convenient for many. I assume replays will be made available.

This was a whole lot easier, and likely better, on RevTV.

Chromecast integration with the Android app is broken (again).

Full web version is not acting well either. Keeps opening windows and logging me out. So frustrating
Yup, it's clown shoes. The website works okay in mobile browser, but desktop browser won't log me in. I assume they just hire a brand new dev team every year and fire them all at the end of the season.

The replay "ghost" tool TNT Sports is using is cool. Overlapping footage of any rider, in this case Bez and Marc's fastest laps, to see the difference in lines and telemetry could help people understand and enjoy the sport more. 3am start urgh....

I noticed this year with the renewal email there was a note they allow only 1 IP address for live, maybe that's the issue?

I use the MotoGP app on my AppleTV 4 (non 4K) and didn't have any issue when I was watching FP1 live yesterday.

Good race, however that drop 1 position call I don’t think was right.
That was a banger of an opening sprint.
The way I see the 'drop 1' call is the stewards want to set the precedent that they will call that.
It they let it go, dive bombing and bashing the other rider off the track becomes the norm.
That being said, I don't think this example was egregious.

I followed LC’s suggestion from last year and watched the race on ServusTV (I forgot to cancel the auto-renewal on PIA). I don’t understand German in the slightest, but it’s fun hearing the commentators randomly drop Spanish phrases here and there.

I found the race really entertaining. I hate when one rider dominates from start to finish, so this was a nice change. I’m bummed for Bez. Before watching, I was impressed by Martin’s 5th place, but after seeing the race it feels like he’s still lacking race pace. Hopefully he gets back to his old form, as I’m rooting for him. Also surprised to see Alex that far down in the standings.

I'm rooting for Toprak, but realistically, he's going to be a back marker for pretty much the whole year.

Yamaha did a sh1t job developing that V4, and Toprak's got new tires/engine/brakes/everything to get used to. I don't think anyone knowledgeable about the sport is really expecting anything from him this year. Top priority for him is to develop a feel for racing in the top tier, as well as show his stuff vs the other Yamis, as that will the most relevant measuring stick given the sorry state of that M1.

As a learner year, it's valuable experience before everything resets for 2027. Everybody will be on equal footing in terms of feeling out the new regs.

That sprint was a very encouraging start to the season. A whole bunch of non-Ducatis in the top 5 and multiple riders able to stuff MM93 in the corners is a good sign.
