2016 Honda Cb500f naked bike

I liked the "S" model of the NC750 series too as it is stumpy legs friendly but the lid on the "frunk" seamed flimsy and a motorcycle designed to be "efficient" above all things doesn't really appeal to me since in Canada motorcycles are really just toys.

As for the Honda 500's, there's a reason they are the best selling bikes in Europe. Not huge power, but the old expression about riding a slow bike fast being more fun than riding a fast bike slow is probably the most accurate statement in motorcycling! There is plenty of power there to not be bored. For the price, it certainly leaves you some $$ to spend on improving the suspension if so desired.

I originally planned to buy the cb500x but didnt like the "dirty diaper" brown of the 2016 so decided to buy the cb500f because I love the orange colour. Then while checking dealerships on line I found a brand new non current 2014 cb500fa for an excellent price so the $$ changed my mind It is red and I really like that colour but the orange is even better. Should have the bike home by nxt week, just got to get rid of my FZ1 to make room for the new bike.

Any orange bike = rip off of KTM? So I guess any red bike is a rip off of Honda.

It is not everyone's cup of tea. It is kind of an unusual design for a motorcycle engine. Very low emissions, very good fuel economy, and a very strong torque curve but low horsepower for displacement. The big thing I think they should have done differently is to have utilized hydraulic valve lifters.

If you like a cruiser powerband this engine will be right up your alley. In the CTX700N cruiser it is a perfect fit. In the NC700X it works as well because the ample torque works well off road. In the NC700S though it was a bit of an outlier. Oddly enough this was the bike that interested me because it would be great for commuting with the "frunk" integrated storage and the fuel efficiency would be awesome. I must be in the minority and this must be why the "S" is not offered this year.

If you've been there, done that with redlining up at 9900 rpm, you'll love that 670cc engine in the 700 series bikes. Lots of low end torque and I can cruise at 120 kph all day at around 4000 rpm and I don't even feel a buzz through the bars.

Ooooo I like that orange.....hell if it wasn't a huge waste I'd replace all my red bits with the orange ones if it's a direct swap.....
