One person is dead, second seriously injured in Innisfil motorcycle crash

One person is dead, and another has suffered serious injuries after a motorcycle crash in Innisfil.
According to South Simcoe Police, the motorcycle and a Chrysler Pacifica collided at the intersection at around 10:30 a.m. Investigators say the motorcycle was travelling south on Yonge when it came it collided with the van.
Two teenagers were on the motorcycle at the time of the crash. On Tuesday afternoon police announced that the driver of the motorcycle, a 16-year-old boy, died.
The passenger, a 15-year-old boy, suffered serious injuries and has been airlifted to a Toronto hospital. The driver and lone occupant of the van, an 85-year-old Alliston man, suffered minor injuries.
The intersection was closed for several hours, but has since reopened.
The investigation is ongoing.
