2014 Ninja 300 digital display malfunction

Loose connection maybe.

Is it under warranty still?

I don't think there is anything wrong from what I see, it appears to cycle again because you are hitting the start button to start the bike, all the power is diverted to the starter motor at this time and once the bike starts the display restarts, cycles and resumes normal operation.

I could be wrong, but I am sure someone with a similar bike can chime in and verify if theirs does the same as yours

I have the 2013 - it does not do that.

Yes maybe loose wires, I'll try to look when I see the bike. No, it's not supposed to restart like that, hopefully it's just a loose connection. It is still under warranty too so if it's not I'll call Kawa

Maybe weak battery and display goes out because of low power when cranking the starter

so it appears you have a problem, looking at more vid's and as others have said it should not restart itself

since it's under warranty take it in, or call to ask why and see if they can give you an answer or at least what to look for, and as was mentioned check for loose connections

Is this not the bike that was dropped on one side ? by the PO

IF it still under warrenty, take it in. might be a battery or loose wire issue.

Yes this was the one that was dropped. When I can see the bike I'll check if there are any loose wires. If not I'll call Kawa. Do I have to call them to change the warranty into my name first?

I would contact Kawasaki and find out how the warranty works. With BMW it is based on the serial number of the bike, so does not matter who owns it. Might be the same with Kawaski, not sure.

Ah, I saw that one on kijiji.

Hey there guys. I picked up a 2014 Ninja 300 yesterday, 145 km, I so brand new.
Yes this was the one that was dropped.
Been dropped does not equal brand new. If you're ever having strange problems with the bike start off with "Super low KM's but dropped Kawi having strange issue..."

Check the battery terminals, make sure they are tight. Put a volt meter on the battery, measure resting voltage (key off), key on voltage and the voltage while it cranks over. If it drops below 9v cranking then that's why your dash reboots. Could be bad battery from getting deeply discharged or maybe it just needs some charging. If you need a new battery check out kapscomoto for a crazy cheap replacement.

My guess is battery is low, ride it and or put on charger to get the battery fully charged, see if it still behaves like that.

^ this. get it corrected then place bike back on kijiji for $2,500 more than what you paid for it...lol

Just don't tell them it was dropped. Warranty tends to go out the window as soon as you admit you crashed.
