Don't all the SS bikes have insane insurance (except through StateFarm) anyway?
I pay $73/month for my cbr 600 with SF so yes

why would they bother really? 99% of replies in this thread will be about the headlights, the fairings or the paint colours. same with the riding community in general.
That seems heavy for an SS to me. My 650R is 430 wet (20 lbs more) as far as I remember from the specs and one complaint is how heavy it is. Coworker that is more familiar with sportbikes was really surprised my bike wasn't lighter.410lbs wet.
I agree my 2007 cbr is a noticeable difference from my old bikes.
That's really good. SF quoted me really high for all my vehicles and an SS would be even more on any other company. Surprised your rates aren't higher in Brampton (unless you're way older than me and married or something).

You think CFD anslysis is something new, or that just Honda uses it?
Engineering for F1 for many years, building the sleek HondaJet airplane, and supercars like the past NSX and coming 2014-15 NSX, something tells me Honda engineers are a little more obsessed with aerodynamics than usual, even on motorbikes.
Some GTAM critics were knocking the headlights and styling. There is a reason for this.....
"The new CBR’s been fitted with a redesigned front fairing that drops drag by 6.5 percent. The new “line beam” headlights slope inwards towards the central air intake, directing high pressure air where it’s most beneficial."
Hows GM doing?

CFD is nothing new, you obviously thought Honda was doing something special in this regard, sorry to burst your Honda bubble. All that F1 and no sports car for how many years.....seems like a waste.
Smurf, incorrect assumption as usual.
Lets recap, shall we?
My link was showing how Honda sweated the details on the aero of the new 600. Something that the gtam posers didnt notice, nor care, because of the "ugly headlights, styling, etc." The CFD images just confirmed that they were trying to mimic their MotoGP racer as close as possible, and this involved reshaping the headlights.
Nowhere did I state nobody else does this or uses CFD.
I merely pointed out that Hondas attention to detail in this matter comes as no surprise since they have, past and present, spend signifcant amounts of R&D involving the aerodynamics engineering of F1 cars, airplanes, road cars and bikes.
P.S. Would you like me to post the numerous F1, CART, Indy and MOTO GP championships Honda has won over the years?
Yes lets recap. I had a simple question:
"You think CFD anslysis is something new, or that just Honda uses it?"
You Did state "why Honda rocks"......seems you Where specifying a particular company no?

The fact is that customers are asking for a slipper clutch, the Honda engineers are giving them what they think they need.......
Other 600's now have TC, and other features......
