680 news is reporting that the SIU is investigating after a collision between a bike and cruiser. The rider has been send to hospital with unspecified injuries. There are 8 investigators assigned to the case so it doesn't sound like a minor incident.

Just saw it on the news - looked like a big impact - best to the rider :(
 
Hope it's nothing too serious, GWS Rider.

Just saw it on CP24, apparently the rider collided with a police car that was responding to an emergency call.
Hopefully they don't blame the rider. Rider suffers from serious but non life threatening injuries.

Durham police have contacted the Special Investigations Unit after a collision between a Durham police vehicle and a motorcycle Thursday afternoon in Oshawa.
According to police, shortly before 2 p.m. a police cruiser collided with a motorcycle in the Taunton Road West and Stevenson Road North area.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 50-year-old man, was transported to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
The police officer was not injured.
The SIU is now in charge of the investigation.
